Creating a recording

Recording a conversation is the quickest way to get started. Zone Scribe transcribes it for you automatically.

Start a recording

1. On the home screen, click the record button.
2. While recording, you'll see animated dots, which show that Zone Scribe is actively capturing audio.
3. When you're finished, stop the recording. The file uploads and begins transcribing automatically.

Zone Scribe doesn't know when to stop your recording. Most devices show when the microphone is still in use, so keep an eye out for that indicator and stop the recording once you're done.

Name and save your recording

As soon as a recording is made you can rename it and save your changes, so it's easy to find again later.

Move a recording to a Zone

1. On the recording, select Move to Zone.
2. Choose an existing Zone, or create a new one.
3. The updated entry then appears on your home screen with a folder icon next to it.

Clicking the folder icon next to a recording takes you directly into that Zone.
